The 2025 AMCAS® application portal will open soon!
As you eagerly await the opening of this year’s portal for American Medical School primary applications, why not get an early start to the written portions of your application.
These written portions include: 1) a maximum of 15 experiences (such as employment, extracurricular activities, awards, honors, and publications), and 2) a Personal Comments Essay (in which you highlight your preparedness for and interest in becoming a medical physician).
Two recently added sections are 1) Other Impactful Experiences, and 2) Social Justice/Advocacy.
For American, Canadian, and International students alike, it is important that you carefully craft these narratives about who you are and what you have achieved and accomplished. These written statements, together with the other submitted materials in your application, will determine your competitiveness as a candidate for second round applications to your preferred colleges and universities, and then for interviews.
